This is as photo of a plane I saw at Oshkosh in July. It is the mothership for launching a rocket ship into space, and is a private venture of Virgin Galactica. The mother ship carries the rocket ship with passengers to 50,000 feet. At that point, the rocket ship is released and it flies off into space. This airplane is the mother ship for launching a manned rocket ship into space. It carries the rocket up to 50,000 feet where it is released. The rockets then ignite and power the ship into space. This is a private venture by Virgin Galactica that is scheduled to launch within 1 year. I believe the cost is $200,000 in case anyone is interested.
